In 2022, my wife and I became parents to a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Like every couple, we wanted the best for our son. Clothes (his and ours), household products, toys…there were too many choices. We knew we wanted the best quality for the things that would be around him every day.
But with the wealth of information (and misinformation) on the internet, it was difficult to figure out what products were safe to bring into our home. Products of unknown origin and quality, with questionable ingredients, made us nervous. So many companies have poor safety records. We were concerned about everything.
How could we ensure we were using the highest quality and safest products for our son and around our home? And how could we take better care of ourselves, so that we could better take care of him? It took a lot of research, and trial and error, to figure out the right things to do, and the best products to buy.
We learned that the origin of products was key to our problem. Products made in Korea, for example, are known to be high quality and reasonably priced. We purchased many baby and household goods from Korea over the past few years, but they have always been difficult to get in the United States. Many websites are written in Korean, and shipping can be expensive. Fortunately, my wife has Korean heritage and speaks Korean, and we could find ways to get them.
And when we welcomed our daughter to the world earlier this year, we experienced that same feeling of wanting the best for her, especially when she was so little. We realized that there must be many other families going through exactly what we were going through.
To help those families, we founded Henry & Clara. Our company focuses on importing quality goods from Korea and other countries known for making high-quality products for parents, children, and the home.
